Reviewed July 17, 2024A balanced 'Blended 100% Rye Canadian Whisky by an Undisclosed Distillery in Canada made from a blend of 12-year-old 100% Canadian Rye Spirits from both pot still & continuous columns still, married in a variety of Sherry casks for finishing. It has an aromatic birth with notes of rye, baking spices & caramel apples; while a creamy life adds notes of cinnamon, nutmeg, black pepper over creamed vanilla beans; that leads to a long & balanced death with a hint of chocolate, toasted nuts & oak. Reviewed February 18, 2023Punch of alcohol burn upfront, met with strong acetone flagours that elicits thoughts of nail polish remover, followed wifh some peppery spice. For being aged 12 years and matured in sweet sherry casks, it is definitely lacking the sweet. -

Reviewed December 10, 2021 (edited February 18, 2023)Three Fingers High 40% abv, distilled in Canada but bottled in California. Aged for 12 years in oak and finished in sherry, 100% pot still rye. Aroma: minor alcohol, light sweetness, odd cheap Canadian whisky aroma, not much there Taste: oak/use barrel up front, some more of that cheap odd canadian whisky taste, no sherry to my taste, not really sweet, super smooth/drinkable. Did not get any spice. God knows what they aged for 12 years and apparently finished in sherry and then put in a nice bottle at this price point to taste like this, I may have got a bad bottle or something and want to give it another chance but not sure if I want to risk it for the price. Overall this was a very disappointing whisky. Cost: 37.00+tax for a 750 ml (overpriced) Grade: C-37.0 USD per Bottle -

Reviewed May 10, 2021Bold and peppery with a nice finish. When I want a strong rye (not overly alcoholic) this is my choice. It may lack a settle refinement over the entire flavor profile but it is a good rye without any astringent or funk. I do like to soften this with some rocks or a small splash of water depending on my mood. If you want a strong Canadian whisky or rye, give this a try.
