Treaty Oak Barrel Reserve Rum
Treaty Oak Distilling // Texas, USA
Treaty Oak Distilling was founded by Daniel Barnes and originally based in Austin. To keep up with production, the distillery now resides on a 27-acre ranch in Dripping Springs. Their Treaty Oak Barrel Reserve Rum is distilled from fermented Texas molasses before being aged in new American white oak barrels for at least two years. Note: This rum has been discontinued.
Aged RumRum that is aged, but no specific type or size barrel required. No set time required for length of aging, but will often carry an age statement (which should be taken with a grain of salt). Often thought of as "sipping rums".
Cask Typenew American white oak
"The first whiff conjures images of a butterscotch factory, followed by hints of roasted pears, and fresh-cut lumber. It comes alive on the palate with lots of spice in the form of white pepper, vanilla, cinnamon, and star anise--lots to discover there. The long finish is warm and comforting. Drink neat or in a hot buttered rum made with real butter of course. "
