Treaty Oak Rum
Treaty Oak Rum Distilling // Texas, USA
Treaty Oak Rum is made from Texas molasses and Hill Country spring water. It is the flagship product of Treaty Oak Distilling, a distillery in Dripping Springs, named after a 500 year-old oak tree where a Texas border agreement was signed in the 1830s. Established in 2006, they were the third distillery to open in Texas after Prohibition was repealed.
Silver RumAKA Blanco, Light, White. Rum that is usually aged (but not always) and carbon-filtered to remove any color. No specific type or size barrel required. No set time required for aging for most countries with a few exceptions.
"This unaged spirit is deliciously aromatic: fresh cut grass, sunny meadow, and green juice with hints of cantaloupe, butter, and banana flambé. Herbal flavors dominate the palate with bitter greens, raw cane juice, a touch of white pepper, vanilla, and cinnamon bark. Intriguing. Finishes long, the warm finish just hints at the sweet flavors. Drink in a classic Daiquiri of course. "
