I always thought this was called Tullamore Dew as in Mountain Dew, but it is actually named Tullamore D.E.W., with the initials standing for Daniel E. Williams, a man who worked at the Tullamore Distillery in the late 1800's. This is a cheap, but decent, Irish whiskey that packs some spice on top of some sweet flavors.
[4.20.2016] Won the Tri-State speaking contest tonight and cut the night open with this (better than Jack). It's funny, I expected smoother but this is a bit spicy on the aftertaste yet smooth like Jameson low-grade on the rocks. Fruity, but especially tart apple is prevailing on this otherwise commonplace whiskey.
