Tullamore D.E.W. Irish Whiskey

Mates at work like it. Not bad, useful in cocktails. Obviously a blend but not as bad as Johnnie

Very smooth. Vanilla and honey on both nose and palate.

Being my second Irish after Jameson I noticed the similarities. Very strong pear note on the nose and a little honey and vanilla. The taste is straight forward with pear and green apple. On the finish I get vanilla and honey sweetness to go with the buttery oil from the pot still portion of the blend. There is some cinnamon spice as well. Very pleasant and simple in a nice way. Good on its own or as a mixer.

Fairly smooth. A little metallic.
