Union Horse Reserve Straight Bourbon

Spicy but sweet. The spice keeps it from being cloying.

This was much better after a few drops of water.

It's okay. Nose is nice, taste is good, richer than what I was expecting for a local product. I had it on a large ice sphere, which balanced it out nicely at the end. Next time I'll have to try it neat.

Spicy at the front of palate - good spice, not cinnamon. Has honey taste left on palate. Must sip slowly.

Nose: sweet, vanilla, oak, and a little floral. Very strong nose. Palate: smooth, sweet, vanilla, and oak Finish: medium length, sweet and oak A really good bourbon.

The Rye had something happening. This one needs something of its own.
