This literally tasted like corn fritters. Sweet, corn heavy, medium body, with a little oily subtext. simple, Not awful, but not my favorite sip. I've found I really dislike wheated bourbons. They have a corn forward taste that I find off-putting. So, my review may not be your experience.
Nose: oak, sweet, floral, cherry
Palate: sweet, oak, mild spice
Finish: long, sweet, fruity, mild spice
Very good. The only other wheated bourbon I’ve tried yet was Makers Mark and this one is definitely better than Makers. Neither has an age statement the Weller seems to have more barrel influence, which makes me think it’s older.
