Sweeter than 10 Year, oak and Concord grape. Smoother finish with less spice than 10 year. Grape and wine sweetness don’t mix well with rye whisky profile. Not my favorite flavors
I really didn’t like this at all. I do like regular Whistlepig but I should have known better than to buy a sherry cask finished rye. Personally, the wine tannic taste is pronounced to me and I despise it. Even in Scotches. It was a stupid purchase on my part. I poured the bottle out after it sat for over a year. Horrible. To me. Obviously others might love it. But whisky reviews are subjective.
