This is a real good sippin’ whiskey. Take the best Canadian whiskey you’ve ever had and make it even better. This is smooth, tropical, banana-y, French toast, and for 80 proof a pleasant burn. Unlike Canadian junk this maple finish isn’t like syrup but more like a whiskey. Get a bottle ASAP because after this year this baby is gone. I love that this one is part of my collection.99.0 USD per Bottle

William Larue Weller Bourbon (Fall 2020)
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed July 9, 2021 (edited February 12, 2022)It’s so good. I used to buy bottles of this stuff. Now it’s supremely rare. It’s the perfect bourbon. Deep rich flavor. Leather, orange, char. Hits all the right spots. All of them. My holy grail. Nectar of the gods.137.0 USD per Pour -
At Crunkletons in Chapel Hill. Tried some of this. Smooth, sweet, and very little burn. Nose is mellow like marshmallow or caramel. Color is amber but not deep color. I’m not pretentious enough to think of anything else besides the fact that I will find a bottle of number five. This is great.35.0 USD per Pour

Booker's Bourbon Batch 2021-02 "Tagalong Batch"
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed July 2, 2021 (edited July 14, 2021)Tastes like Bookers. So it is not a let down. Standard flavor profile. Rich flavor, deep color, and “hot” as hell. Now, I’ve had the Birthday edition a few years ago and that was really special. This isn’t special but it is exactly what I wanted in my collection. Bookers was missing. Worth the money.90.0 USD per Bottle -
Sweet. Smooth. Oily. Medium body and finish. Floral and berry nose. I like Blantons. It doesn’t offend in any way. Sort of blah. But it isn’t worth 150 a bottle or whatever. I used to pick this up for 50 a bottle during the Great Recession. Now it’s considered semi- “rare.” Great bourbon by the dram in the meantime. Eagle Rare 10 and many others are better. FAFNIR187 review is 100% spot on.20.0 USD per Pour

Elijah Craig Barrel Proof Bourbon Batch B521
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed June 11, 2021 (edited July 7, 2021)Very special bourbon. I will be nursing this bottle over time. Deep amber. Smooth. Rich flavor. Long char finish. Oily. Tasted it side by side with Knob 15. EC 12 is superior. I feel like that is saying a lot because KC 15 is really good.100.0 USD per Bottle -
George Dickel 13 Year Bottled in Bond Tennessee Whisky (Spring 2007)
Tennessee Whiskey — Tennessee, USA
Reviewed June 9, 2021 (edited September 10, 2021)This 13 yo is better than the 15. I have both. It has more contrast of flavors whereas the 15 is very tannic and finishes full bodied char. Old wine is the 15 yo without it having been insulted and debased by stupid Sherry casks. I wish that fad would disappear. Anyhow, I like these Dickels except the 13 edges out ahead of 15 due to it’s more interesting flavors that aren’t dominated by overpowering wood and char. Pick up a bottle and a redundant one for the price. You’ll like it. The 15 is a good one, too.50.0 USD per Bottle -
Smoke Wagon Small Batch Straight Bourbon
Bourbon — Indiana (bottled in Nevada), USA
Reviewed June 7, 2021 (edited August 14, 2021)Different. Really good. Nice finish. Initial burn but it’s worth it. Taste is completely different than my other bourbons in the collection. How would I describe it? I’m bad at that but sweet and spicy. I really think this’d be a great addition to someone’s collection. I’ve had about four drams since buying it. I enjoy it.75.0 USD per Bottle -
George Dickel 13 Year Bottled in Bond Tennessee Whisky (Fall 2005)
Tennessee Whiskey — Tennessee, USA
Reviewed May 16, 2021 (edited February 16, 2022)This whiskey is slightly better than the 15 year old because it is less acidic / tart. Two years less in aging really helps it. I like both considerably but the 13 yo is smoother and just as flavorful. For the price, I’d recommend picking up a bottle. I think you’ll like it.32.0 USD per Bottle
