RyeUnlike bourbon, rye whiskey can be made anywhere in the world. But if made in the US, the mash bill recipe must be at least 51% rye and it must be aged in new, charred oak barrels with no age requirement. Elsewhere, the rye whiskey will be made keeping the country of origin's rules regarding the recipe and minimum aging.

Tasting Notes
"The gin barrels come through first with apples and juniper followed by rye grain which is more dried herbs than baked bread. It's got a medium-light body and the flavors are spice-driven. Apple fruit is found around the edges, but the rye is dry and a bit young-tasting. The gin doesn't overpower the rye but it comes close. If you 're looking for a more traditional rye, this could disappoint. But if you're up for something new, especially if you like to mix cocktails this could be up your alley."
