White Owl Whisky

Honestly the worst whisky I've had, very disappointed after having it recommended to me. Opened the bottle and poured into a glass upon first smell I thought it was rubbing alcohol. First spit was very bland/cheap alcohol flavour. I know it's cheap whisky but I expected something drinkable, not something I want to pour down a sink.

To me, it tastes like an extremely filtered young rye whiskey- which is what it is in its essence. And, I believe, the makers don’t hide that. I agree with others who liken this to a vodka but with hints of sweet scotch whiskey. I believe it shines best as a base for mixed drinks. To me, it is uncomplicated and I enjoy this filtered whisky very much in a light tasting highball.

It is not whisky. Tastes more like vodka with hints of scotch.
