Widow Jane Decadence 10 Year

So many have made the mistake balancing the maple and whiskey. I truly feel that they are on point with this one and suggest you try if you havent already.

This is Batch 3 from 2022. Not gonna lie, was a little disappointed. After hearing how good it was, i found it lacking complexity. It took a couple a couple sips to dial in the flavors. I get maple and vanilla on the nose. Once it hits your lips, the maple really sticks but its light. I was expecting the maple to be in your face. Its not. Then the oak comes through on the finish. Maybe its the low proof. I think something over 105 would help it out. But I see where you could dump it on your pancakes and be happy.

Rich and warming with just the right amount of maple syrup influence. It’s not something I would reach for often but it would be a great fall whiskey.
