Smooth and good flavor. Loses out in the fact that it doesn’t carry the traditional bourbon palate. Can tell it has been filtered as the mesquite and barrell really come out on the flavor profile. It’s a “have to be in the right mood” bourbon. Verdict: if you are in to bourbon and want something from wild turkey go for Russell’s single barrell, 101, or rare breed before you go here. But if you want a different experience this is a solid addition to the bar. Definitely sample before buying a bottle.
