Very smooth. Sweet vanilla, fades to cheerios, cinnamon, as well as a slight French oak note.
15Mar24
Nose: graham cracker and char. Some grass and marshmellow.
Palette: heavy char with some cherry and nutty flapvr, honey but more char. Dry oak on the back that sticks like peanut butter. WT tangy for sure but so much more going on.
Nose- tasted oak, hints of smoke, toffee, burnt sugar, roasted peanut shells,
Taste- spicey sweet, some rye, roasted peanut, orange rind, plastic phenolic, spikes of black pepper, toasted oak,
Finish- more plastics, rinds, sweet sugars
Lot going on here. Had more notes but lost the review. It's def wild turkey turned up and really liked it
Nose- spicey rye and phenol with sweet brown sugars, burnt sugars, toasted oak, roasted salty peanut shells
Taste-astringent oak and phenol plastics, cinnamon, peanuts, tanned leathers, spicy, black pepper spikes, it's a bit oily, major
maybe some orange rind
Nose: This is very classic Wild Turkey on the nose, just a little deeper than usual. The oak is definitely there, but it is layered in with cherry, dense vanilla custard, caramel, and orange zest. The Wild Turkey funk note is prominent as well which admittedly I am a huge fan of. There’s also a nice toasty note resembles toasted marshmallow and graham cracker.
Palate: Easy sipper all the way. The front of the palate is typical Turkey with the cherry, brown sugar, and vanilla custard we found on the nose. The mid palate is where we find cinnamon graham cracker, almond, orange zest, clove, and a touch of bittersweet chocolate.
Finish: The finish here is really great. The 17 year oak comes across as a wonderful fire roasted marshmallow that is almost nostalgic with how much it reminds me of being around a campfire making s’mores.
