Rich, spicy black pepper, menthol

Medium brown, deep caramel color. Soft aromas of cinnamon and confectionary treats. Gentle sweetness at the front with a satisfying texture/body, spice arrives in the middle, and the sweet cinnamon returns on the finish with the strength of the spirit that slowly fades.

First time trying. Nose was strong dry spicy cinnamon bread. A savory bitterness behind it too. Taste brings in more raisins and dry cinnamon bread, with a strong herbal lingering for a solid 15 seconds. Aftertaste tapers off into more spicy dark bread and bitter maple. I plan to revisit once i get a better rye palate. It got better by the end of the bottle but was at its best over a large ice ball.
