Wilderness Trail Bottled in Bond Single Barrel Bourbon (Wheated Bourbon)

Barrel 16F21L Copper color. The nose has heavy vanilla, butter pecans, toasted oats, and cinnamon graham crackers. Mouthfeel is thin but not watery. The palate is grain forward and youthful with notes of oat bran, buttered toast and green oak, with hints of roasted cashew nuts, cinnamon-flavored toothpicks, and vanilla. The finish is medium-long and mildly astringent, lingering notes of raw oak, oat bran, cinnamon toothpicks and faint vanilla. The nose is warm and inviting but the youth shows on the palate and finish.

More spice than the rye Wilderness Trail. Vanilla, some wood, some heat, easy drinker with a kick that you want in a bourbon. Enjoyed it more with an ice ball than neat

Oak and vanilla on nose. Oak quickly dissipates on palate. Hints of cinnamon, red apple peel, butterscotch candies and vanilla. Some cherry on the finish. Great sipper.

Orange spice & subtle warmth

Wheated Bourbon Gallenstein Store Pick (Family Reserve, Not BIB) Spicier than I was expecting, and not as sweet as I was expecting. Had high hopes. I'll return once it airs out a bit. Ok, let this one breathe. It went from 3.75 to 4.25. Took the edge off, now it's a great sipper
