Willett Family Estate Small Batch Rye 4 Year

Full flavor and a nice smooth aftertaste.

Had this at a bourbonham, a bourbon MS fundraiser in Birmingham, Al. It was a whirlwind. I tried 8 or 10 different bourbons in about three hours. My palate was overwhelmed...as was my sense of balance. All that aside, this one was the most unique pour of the day. Mint and smoke was what stood out. So much mint. It's not a flavor profile that I loved, but it's uniqueness sets it apart.

Subtle nose, vanilla character, but full bodied, honey spearmint is strong, smooth oily, not your typical rye spiciness. Very long smooth and refreshing finish 3.24.22 retaste: most of the same profile above but getting some cherry now.

Intense, spicy, and complex. This is a fantastic rye.

Subtle nose. Rich flavors (sweet toffee with citrus) on the palate. Spicy finish that lasts.

Pepper bomb. Classic rye pepper taste, smooth crisp taste with long finish
