Nose: Werther’s original, cherry 7up
Palate: salted caramel, green beans, ocean soaked oak, cayenne pepper, and sherry wine that has been sitting out for many days.
Finish: This rye doesn’t linger, it’s in and out - quite dry- but after a heavy dose you can suck you teeth and feel a bit of coating.
This rye is interesting to try, but the deeper tasting notes don’t sit well with me- it’s tastes like an aged whiskey; but seems aged more in a way that tennis balls and old sneakers age..
