Yamazaki 12 Year

Very light and buttery with a hint of smoke. Someone once told me it tastes like the banana flavored runts, and they are not wrong. Personally don’t think it’s worth the now outrageous pricing, but without a doubt very enjoyable

A fruit bomb. Huge apple, honey, and a little vanilla on the nose; prominent stone fruit, pineapple, honey, apple, and a little vanilla; finished with burnt caramel and a little cinnamon

Nose: Sweet floral honey (like wildflower honey) with hints of toffee and fruit. Very easy going. Palate: Very smooth with more of that toffee turning to black bean vanilla. The fruit expands more with just a touch of baking spices. A citrus zestiness brings you into the finish. Finish: The zest brings out more oakiness in the spirit that mixes well with the fruit notes. A nice long finish!

What a whisky! Tried at a Japanese restaurant. Smooth tangerines, honey and butter, sooo smooth, very light japanese oak.
