Tastes

Nose isn’t much, some caramel and some dust; a caramel bomb with balanced peat and smoke; buttery texture; quite smooth; a warm, shortish finish of honey

Nose is a beautiful caramelized sugar and vanilla like crème brûlée and lychee; definite mizunara, some caramel and vanilla, and a ripe honeydew melon; long, sweet mizunara finish; surprisingly hot for 21yr old; thinner than I’d like; very good, but not enough to merit the price or reputation

Big sherry notes; light, but still good

More ife wine than whiskey for sure; really doesnt drink like a whiskey, but defintiely has ice wine flavor and sweetness; would make an awesome highball, but not a whiskey

Sweet candy apple nose with a little nutmeg; sweet, sherry forward, ample baking spice, and honey; fairly thick, moderate heat for a 25yr; long, nice finish of baking spice and sherry; very nice, balanced, sweeter highland(?)

Big spice nose with some vanilla; massive baking spice with some caramel, oak, and vanilla; nice, easy finish of those baking spices; fairly dry as expected; nice, thick texture; prettyyy smooth; an excellent rye

Muted hyssop nose with some smoke; biscuity with a little bit of cooked stone fruit; a little hot, thick; nice medium finish of peat and vague floral notes; overall i like the newer Octomores more for their bolder, complex flavors

Peaty nose with a little vanilla; very dry and biscuity with balanced peat and smoke; short, easy finish with some vanilla and peat

Nose of blackberries and like attic; honey, corn, medium finish with light honey, heat, and oak; good but not distinct and not worth the price; weirdly tastes like a bourbon
