Yamazaki 18 Year

Perfectly balanced. Rich but not overwhelming. Sweet but not cloying. Brown sugar, fruit, a touch of smoke. Long finish. Perfection.

This is glorious. Nose: stone fruit and sweet malt, slight notes of chocolate. Palate: more stone fruit, chocolate and bread notes. Reminds me of French toast with chocolate and peach. Finish: long lingering sweetness of chocolate and bread notes.

Very fruitful on the nose with a initial hit of fullness and the a calming sweet not before a lingering warmth

Depending on where you are in the bottle this could be a 5, but tonight it’s a 4.75. Basically Yamazaki 12 on steroids. Deep flavors and barrel notes without much burn at all, caramel, lighter fruits, vanilla, and more mouthfeel than the 12. Just so good.
