The nose is sweet and fruity with a bit of leather underneath. The palette is mostly warm and oily, with some spiciness and vanilla notes following on. The leather notes return in the finish, along with woody and tea notes.
Cherry, overripe bananas, and a chemical mixture overwhelm the nose on this bourbon. Spiced vanilla and honey are present on initial taste. Replaced by lingering cinnamon, rye spices and a long smooth finish. More tastes remind me of freshly brewed tea. Much less harsh than most bourbons aged in charred Oak. Not overly smoked. Overall, not bad at all.
