Yellowstone Kentucky Straight Bourbon Finished in No. 3 Char Wine Casks (2018 Limited Edition)

I’ve tasted this many times in my own collection but had a pour from a friend’s bottle. Very strong leather finish that I don’t remember from my previous tastings. Will have to try my bottle again.

My second favorite Limited Edition after the 2017. The wine barrel notes on this still give it rounded, berry tones yet the spice is amped likely from the increased char. Very nicely done.

Quick tasting vs. the new LE 2020. I’ve always enjoyed this one, but I think the 2020 may be even better.
