Tasting Notes
"This Dutchman’s nose is heavenly sweet– dark cherry, vanilla, and hints of coconut, almost like a fine Dutch candy. It enters the palate with a bit of chocolate and dark fruit, exposing a delicious, round character. It finishes with a moderate amount of eucalyptus. The sherry is very well integrated – noticeable but not a sherry bomb, nor is it too sweet from perhaps a little too much PX sherry left in the barrel. The aging in three separate cask types shows a mastery of the wood with the expected flavors from the different casks types present but well-balanced. Rum this nice shouldn’t share the stage with anything else."
