Sonoma County Distilling Co. Sonoma Rye

Rye — California , USA

Reviewed June 17, 2020 (edited March 29, 2021)
2.0
2.0 out of 5 stars
Okay, so this cask strength rye is a coppery rust color with thin watery legs. The nose feels dry and has notes of hay, dry old lumber, dill, and unfortunately, polyurethane. That note is a big turn off for me. The palate is mellow yet almost chewy and has notes consisting of yellow corn, sour herbs, and green strawberry. The finish is not long nor hot considering the proof, and leaves almost a snickerdoodle taste. Cheers!

@genericgeric sweet! Let me know if you’re getting some of the same content.

Awesome! This is right up the street from me, and I've heard of these folks. Will keep track of your note 👍
