New Spirit Releases - September 27, 2024 - Barrell, Penelope, and More!

This is the fourth release from the brand's Cask Finish Series featuring blends of straight bourbons with unique finishes. Here, BCS begins by blending straight bourbon whiskeys from Indiana (aged 5-9 & 11 years), Kentucky (aged 5 & 8 years), Tennessee (aged 9 & 15 years), and Wyoming (aged 9 years). Then the blend gets finished in ice wine barrels. Bottled at cask strength of 106.52 proof, its available at select retailers nationwide and via BCS website beginning September 2024. (SRP $89.99)

This release is one of three whiskeys to debut in Penelope's new Estate Collection which features limited edition whiskeys. This Founder's Reserve bottling consists of 24 experimental barrels of wheat whiskey (95% wheat, 5% malted barley) aged for 11 years in new, charred American oak barrels from Ross & Squibb in Indiana. These barrels were batched into 5 different lots and each one is released at a different cask strength proof points. Available at Lux Row Distillers in Bardstown and via e-commerce partners in select markets beginning October/November 2024. (SRP $199.99)

This Private Select bottling consists of a blend of 9 year-old straight bourbon whiskeys from two states with a resulting mash bill recipe of 74% corn, 20% rye, 1% wheat, and 5% malted barley. Bottled at 101.2 proof, there are 6,000 6-pack cases available nationwide beginning September/October 2024. (SRP $79.99)

This release is one of three whiskeys to debut in Penelope's new Estate Collection which features limited edition whiskeys. This bottling consists of 10 year-old single barrels of straight bourbon selected from various warehouses and floors. There will be two different mash bill recipes released: Single Barrel 21% (75% corn, 21% rye, 4% malted barley) bottled at 98 proof and Single Barrel 36% (60% corn, 36% rye, 4% malted barley) bottled at 105 proof. US availability begins in October 2024 with SB 21% released only to open states and SB 36% released to control states. (SRP $89.99)

True Story is a whiskey brand launched by Wes Henderson, co-founder of Angel's Envy and Bourbon Hall of Fame inductee. This bottling consists of Kentucky straight bourbon whiskey aged 5-6 years in charred new American white oak barrels that was then finished in white Moscatel wine casks for up to 6 months. Bottled at 90 proof, availability begins October 10, 2024 at select retailers in Kentucky and Tennessee and via the brand's website. (SRP $59.99)

True Story is a whiskey brand launched by Wes Henderson, co-founder of Angel's Envy and Bourbon Hall of Fame inductee. This bottling consists of Kentucky straight rye whiskey aged 5-8 years in charred new American white oak barrels that was then finished in Brazilian Amburana wood as well as oloroso & PX wine casks for 2-12 months. Bottled at 100 proof, availability begins October 10, 2024 at select retailers in Kentucky and Tennessee and via the brand's website. (SRP $69.99)
