Old Bardstown Estate Bourbon 101 Proof
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed May 20, 2019 (edited November 2, 2019)Let me wipe away my tear so I can see what I am typing.... this is disappointing. It is another “muscle down” selection. Maybe it will taste better in my starter drink, the ole summer mash up. -
My least enjoyed OF product to date. I believe the mark was missed with this offering. If you are on the fence, do yourself a favor and pass. Many other options for $40 and under that will do the trick. Wait wait wait.... 9 days and 2 tries later, it improved for me. I still say this is not my favorite OF, but it is worthy. The 1897 is a better buy in my opinion.

Coopers' Craft Original 82.2 Proof Kentucky Straight Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed March 6, 2019Sweet nose with a rather varied taste. I don’t get too much of the charcoal filter taste like Dickel, but it is still sweet. (vanilla mostly) It is a nice and smooth sipper indeed. The $25 PA price makes this a must buy, well worth it. Nice work BF. This is my first pour impression, so let’s see how it does down the road. A 2nd try and a slight downgrade this taste. There is a taste I can’t put my finger on and it isn’t pleasant. It doesn’t ruin it for me, but it makes me think this will be my only bottle. -
Old Grand-Dad Bonded Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed February 16, 2019 (edited August 29, 2019)Good, but one bottle will be all I need. I get a tad more alcohol mouth burn than I enjoy. In my humble opinion, Evan Williams BiB is a better buy for this $20ish price point. The flavor is good though, I get a heavy corn taste. Maybe I will stick with the 80 proof juice and just drink more of it vs the BiB. Sound plan eh! -
So I bought this, on sale thankfully. It tastes similar to the 80 proof version but a bit more burn, but not a good burn for me. I am just glad I did not get the $2.00 burn at the cash register. ( That is a joke about it being on sale when I bought it......) This will be a good mixer, at least that is where it will be in my future.

Woodford Reserve Double Oaked
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed January 14, 2019 (edited May 1, 2019)This is as delicious as OF 1910. However, it is rated much higher. What is the deal with this app giving no love to OF???? I think if I gave a 0-100 score I would put the OF 1910 just one point higher due to it being slightly more charred, or at least I think it is. This is available in PA so I guess Woodford will get my $60 ish dollars in the future. This is just awesome, no doubt one of my absolute favorites. Great work Woodford Reserve! A few pours and days later, just as delicious. I also bought another bottle. Hey OF, you will get my scratch if you come to PA... hint hint. Either way, I am perfectly content buying this. IT..... IS.... AWESOME! -
This is some good stuff from WT. I get the citrus flavor combined with spice flavors. Very good as a matter of fact. At 101 proof it has a slight burn, but not bad at all. This is a tad pricey (65 ish beans) , but certainly worth a try. I will get it again for sure. After finishing the bottle it never disappointed, very good juice. Worth the 65 beans.

Old Forester 1910 Old Fine Whisky
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed December 25, 2018 (edited October 2, 2019)Merry Christmas to me!🎄 Got this as a gift. This is exactly as the notes describe, and to me, delicious. Wow, very good. I am starting to believe there is a bourbon conspiracy against Old Forester, because this IS NOT an 82. NF’nW! Love it. I hope PA gets it soon.
