Floral nose, deceivingly light considering the thickness and potency of the dram Very salty, syrupy and thick, vanilla and orange Nice finish

Nose: banana, pear, tropical fruit Palate: peat, hints of coffee and chocolate, banana, butterscotch, caramel, like Coffee flavored nips. Balanced and smooth but very light Finish: light black licorice, nice and light, maybe slight eucalyptus. Good starting whisky to open the palate but perhaps a bit bland

Batch 56, 61.2% Nose: rich and fiery, dry dark fruit, raisin, prune, Christmasy Palate: fiery, exotic spice, dark fruit and chocolate, Desserty, Armagnac, orange zest/peel, oaky, full bodied and rich, very well balanced Finish: long, fiery, dry, and lovely My first sherry bomb

Nose: vegetal, natural, sour or green apple, lime, burning cedar, latex, Taste: grass, zingy, tart, green apple, damp beach or camp fire, DAMP, Finish: grass, long and pleasant Green apple big time

Nose: light, smoky, buttery, floral Taste: light smoke, medicinal, carbon, hint of juniper, earthy, citrus—orange flavoring Finish: pleasant, dry finish

Nose: port wine, raisin, and a hint of Christmas cake Taste: rich, deep, sweet and spicy, syrupy and thick, dark fruit, sugar and raisin. a definite sherry bomb Finish: a long, slow burn of a finish

Nose: burnt, buttered toast Taste: salty, spicy and quite smoky. Well balanced but more weight to the smoke. Medium dry finish

Nose: at first musty, tobacco, cigarette, but followed by banana and tropical fruit on the back. As tasting goes on, more and more banana becomes apparent on the front. Taste: light vanilla, banana and floral mixed with a peaty tobacco smoke. Smooth and buttery. Incredibly well balanced. Finish: medium-long, light peat, ashy End of bottle at time of rating but consistently one of my favorites. Great summer dram.

Full and rich on the nose. Woody, briny, chocolate and oil. Full-bodied and funky. Briny, oily, very medicinal. Hints of wood smoke but also banana and some tropical fruit. Medium finish. A great whisky but a lot to take in.
