Tastes

Very "Irish-y" (so smoky?), really smooth, rich from the Bordeaux and just a tad sweet. I really like this.

This is tasty and easy to drink, but flavors are all over the map, leaving nothing to really stand out. Has smokiness, and a sweet sherry finish, and something makes me think of honey. Smooth, almost silky, but a somewhat plain landscape.

Esp for the price point, this is a smooth and tasty bourbon.

This is like candy. Sweet and orange-forward. It's not a complex and subtle masterpiece, sure - it's just really easy to drink and really tasty. Careful!

Quite good. Sweet and smooth, I'm getting some peat but it's hard to say if that's from the Bunnyrabbit (whatever) that I just sampled (although I deliberately cleared my palate). At any rate, this is pretty good, but there may be better for the price.

Peatey. Hmm. If I think of it that way, it's complex and interesting, makes me think of peat (yes) and the smoke of a well-banked coal bed. If I don't specifically keep that context in mind...first smell was "dry erase marker," first taste was "that smell when gluing a carpet seam." I think this ain't my thing.

This is what I think of as archetypical Irish Whiskey. And as an everyday, keep-in-the-cabinet staple, I quite like it.

Good, but mostly doesn't have the flavor that I think of as being quintessentially "Irish Whiskey." This is like 1/3 that, plus 2/3 just plain whiskey.

Very good but noticeably strong, so a bit bitey. Rich but not mellow.
