Spicy like a rye. Sweet, green apples, spicey tangy.

A little dusty cardboard. Solid smooth sipper rye.

Highland park 18 yr vs highland park cs Nose 18- a sharp sweet but subdued nose. Light peat, vegetable metalic almost. Light honey green apples. Cs - so different than the 18. Candy.... Like a vanilla citrus hard candy. Sweet malt. The smoke is there...barely. Taste: 18: smooth, smoked apples and tastes a little watered down to be honest. Smokey sweet finish. CS: SO FLAVORFUL. SWEET FRUITY BOMB. the combination of the smell and the taste are a 1, 2 punch. They aren't the same though but it works. Tart apple, grapes, dark honey, spicey and a warm sweet smokey hug finish. This isn't even close. Cs all the way 9.2/10 to 8/10 for the 18yr.

Nose : ethanol, marshmallows Smooth, sweet, a little spice, winey. Rich multi layered. Not worth the hype but still very tasty

Lighter nutty spice, caramel.

Sams pick Tasty wheater. Solid, would buy under 40

Sams pick A great classic tasting bourbon with a very pleasant cigar like finish. I would buy this for $40 and under all day.

Light Maple light wine nose Pretty smooth taste. Very much a blend. Classic rye, baking spice a little port on the back end. Medium spicy finish

Nose: Medicinal, light metalic, light/medium almost fresher peat smell. Honey and green grapes. Pallette: honey sweet and tart, lighter end of smoke and a little meaty. Light metalic, sweet peat finish.

This is a solid rye. IMO it should be in the $50 or $60 range but i wouldn't feel super bad about msrp. Mine was the 4 yr 112.6 proof. Rich and flavorful rye not overbearing but has some kick. Sweet and light spice. A little like wild turkey rare breed rye. Good!
