2022 bookers battle Bookers 22-03 A litttle heat vanilla winey nose Sweet, light plum fruit, vannila taste a tiny bit of peanut is there barely tickling the pallet and then follows through into the finish with a decent amount of spice at the end. 4.5/5 My bookers 22-04 Syrupy panc nose Sweet maple light cereal pallet, a little more nuttiness. Definitely has a more nutty aftertaste but less spicy. 4.75 22-04 wins tonight. It works more with my pallette and what I like in a beam product. I can definitely see why others would like the 22-03 better and maybe even I would on a different night. Not tonight. Cheers!

Four Roses sib versus 1792 sib blind Dram 1 (four roses) - Nose: Floral sweet light fruit and a tiny bit of ethanol Dram 2 (1792) - nose: smooth fruity nose with a tinge of spice. It has a well-rounded nose it's like equally fruity spicy sweet. And I'm not saying that's necessarily the best thing because I like some weirdness and funk sometimes but you definitely can't be offended by this whiskeys nose. Dram 1 taste- getting a sweet, cereal, light spice w/ a little bit of ethanol. A light sweet spicy finish. I get a little mineral candy vitamin tonight as well. Dram 2 taste -Smooth, sweet, spicy very well-rounded. It almost makes me feel like it's a blend. It just has a very good balance of the spicy, the Sweet, the fruit but nothing stands out nothing says wow look at that. It's definitely an easy sipper, nice medium viscosity and a sweet spicy finish. Tonight the 1792 wins. I feel 4r takes more chances and I love them for that but this sib was a little hot and too cereal. The 1792 is a frys pick and that may mean something.

Jack Daniel's Bonded Tennessee Whiskey
Tennessee Whiskey — Tennessee, USA
Reviewed June 3, 2023 (edited June 8, 2024)I have grown to appreciate this whiskey a little more here is a blind I did with this and a jd sib store pick.... After a few sips you can tell the difference. Because the bonded is a blend of many barrels, its more evened out, even though it might be a little more sweet and richer w more banana. The sib pick has a little smoke there, a little more dry but in a good way. The banana is there but with a little nuttiness on the back end. I get a little metallic on both noses tonight that transfers over to the sib's taste a bit. The bonded has a bit more oaky cardboard instead...... BUT WAIT.... ...AND IT TURNS OUT I CALLED THE POURS WRONG. I WAS SO SURPRISED I HAD TO GO POUR ANOTHER GLASS OF BONDED TO MAKE SURE I DIDN'T MIX UP THE BLIND. BONDED WINS. SO REVERSE MY NOTES THE BONDED WAS WHAT I THOUGHT WAS THE SIB.
