Starlight Carl T. Huber's Cigar Batch Bourbon Finished in Brazilian Amburana Barrels
Bourbon — Indiana , USA
Reviewed March 16, 2022 (edited November 16, 2022)Nose is very sweet, caramel, slight citrus, cinnamon, dried fruit Taste is fantastic, very sweet honey, dark chocolate, cinnamon, orange citrus, minty almost menthol. Reminiscent of an orange cough drop. A light cigar enhances these flavors, especially the sweetness and cinnamon. This is top 3 for me. Awesome bottle. -

Nose is wurthers original candy, peanut brittle, no real baking spice or rye spice on the nose. Very sweet nose for a rye. Taste is hot. Candied apple, bitter walnut, alittle bit of lemon peel, slightly chalky mouthfeel. Retronasally I get some clove. Palate is tingly from the proof. After taste is sweet like corn syrup with a little bit of citrus.

Nose is bright, fruity, cherries, oaky, walnuts, a good bit of rye spice, leather, a little mint on the end. Taste is not very sweet, maybe a little burnt caramel, very dry, a good bit of oak and nutty bitterness, spiciness comes through but the fruit and sweetness is gone. Bitterness and tingly spice remains on the palate for a medium length.

Ardbeg Arrrrrrrdbeg!
Single Malt — Islay, Scotland
Reviewed May 25, 2021 (edited September 14, 2021)Nose is very mild for a peated islay scotch. There is definitely briny charcoal bricketts, and sweet vanilla but it doesn't punch you in the nose. Taste is sweet vanilla ice cream, smoky bacon, herbal like mowing your lawn and spicy smoked paprika. It's oily and sticks around tingling your lips. Minty finish maybe from the rye barrels.
