Only had a 1 ounce pour of this so I don’t want to say too much about it that would impact others. I get big oak on the nose and palate, which I like. Some sweetness up front on the palate, but for me it lacks the traditional rye spice that I generally get from a higher rye whiskey. I agree with others that the finish is quick. Overall I enjoyed this and it’s worth a try for sure!

First pour from a whiskey advent calendar from my gorgeous wife! It’s a 1 ounce pour, and I’m getting really nice fruit and barrel char notes on the nose. The palate has initial sweetness typical of a wheated bourbon, with additional sweet oak and spice as it works to the finish. Having tasted the 1 ounce pour I’d definitely buy a bottle if I see one to see how I enjoy an entire bottle.

If you see this in a store, buy it. This is an incredible finished rye. The sweetness from the sherry compliments the rye spice so perfectly. Hats off to Sagamore. I need a backup.

A vanilla bomb! Fantastic nose with nice spice and constant vanilla on the palate and finish.

Crushable. Good sipper, you get the extra toasted flavor. Nothing super complex but if you need a Wednesday night bourbon once the joy thieves are in bed this fits the bill.

I know this will be unpopular but I just don’t get it. I’ve tried this multiple times now and it’s just so average to me. For MSRP, yes I would buy it to have it on the shelf. For $150+, no thanks. I’ll take two ECBPs please.

Brand new bottle, not yet opened. Was rushed drinking this too so I want to try again before doing more notes and official grade. But this was very enjoyable. Oily, rich, vanilla, sweet oak, classic Knob Creek.

Fruity, sweet spices on the nose. The minute this hits the back of my tongue there’s additional heat and spice. The finish is very enjoyable and long, with additional spice. This was the first Booker’s I have been able to try and own, and it’s one of my favorites currently.

I could sit and smell this all day. I get a buttery cinnamon roll or some other warm breakfast pastry. For me I wish the taste replicated the nose. It’s good, fruity and clean. If you find it retail it’s a steal.
