Tastes

I bought this bottle for Easter with my family. So far I've heard only good about Cardhu and I thought to give it a try. - Color is pale gold. - On the nose I get some sweet notes such as vanilla and floral notes such as honey suckle. They are followed by the fruit notes: pineapple and pears. - On the palate it's a rich fruity taste that includes pineapples, mangos and a hint of bananas with the sweetness of honey and vanilla. - The finish is delicate, and in the most part presents honey and raisins. Overall, I like this scotch. It's very good value for money and could be used to present whisky to other people who aren't into this spirit that much.

I find this scotch really good, I would recomand it to anyone. Although it is an young scotch (10 YO) it doesn't feel like that. It is well matured in both American and European oak casks. Its phenol level is 35 ppm, perfectly balanced. - The color is light gold - On the nose you can recognize the pleasant smoke alongside some oak notes - On the palate there is a strong aroma of peat, dried fruits, walnuts and some black pepper notes - The finish is subtle, reminds of the oak casks in which it was maturated After tasting this, I am curious about the other line of whisky from Tobermory, maybe I'll follow up with Tobermory 12. I am sure it would be as interesting as this one.
