Gross. The orange notes are nice and decent viscosity. But a couple off notes. Metallic note without peat to balance. Auchentoshan-esque floral notes. Utter shit.

This is excellent but not too far off from Glendronach 18 in terms of flavor profile despite longer maturation (oak notes) and some PX maturation not present in the 18 yr. Is it worth the extra bucks?

On a second tasting after some oxidation in the sample bottle, same impression except now even the amazing unique scent is gone and this is like a cask strength kilchoman sanaig. That’s good but not exceptional like ballechin sftc Bordeaux

Very nice. Not too young like 11 yr gramnatico and 12 yr sauternes expressions from this distillery. Reminds me of the spicy, madeira notes of tyrconnell 16 and glendronach port wood. Wonder how this will taste after some oxidation in the sample bottle

Too young, very prevalent malty notes and slight acetone but not as bad as the 11 yr grammataco finish. Might be better at 15 yr maturation. Not my thing. Want to compare to glenmorangie sauternes

This isn’t great but could be if it were a 15 yr. Young notes of maltiness and acetone overpower the faint (red?) wine notes in the background. My first tasting, maybe it will taste better after some oxidation in the sample bottle

Close to done with the bottle. Tastes like chocolate and orange, reminiscent of a cask strength version of glenfiddich 18. It’s good but don’t think I’ll have the itch to pick this rare bottle up even if i chance upon it again

Amazing. Possibly the very best unpeated single malt scotch I’ve tried. Rich due to no dilution. So many dark fruit flavors. Not a single off note. I drank it without a splash of water and no burn. 10/10

Wtf was I thinking last time? It’s not a sherry bomb, sure. It’s a 15 yr. But it has everything glendronach 18 has sans some of the richness and the heavy balsamic notes. Spectacular dram. Want to compare it to glendronach 15 and glenmorangie lasanta, 2 other excellent expressions.

Royal Brackla 20 Yr Moscatel Double Cask

Good stuff like the 20 yr red wine finish. Little spicy in the finish. Nice moscatel notes but a bit one dimensional, just dark fruits in addition to that and the spice. Compares to tyrconnell 16 though. Decent dram.
