A/b testing against macallan ed 4, and thats an excellent yet wildly overpriced dram with mellower orange notes. Here the orange notes are very prominent even overpowering the other oloroso notes. Need to test this vs macallan classic cut, although both are just ok compared to glenallachie, glendronach, and edradour cask strength expressions.

Months later actually like this better than macallan for what it is which is very orange note heavy sherry dram. Probably won’t get it again but would probably get another aberlour expression before i buy another overpriced mediocre quality macallan again.

Overrated shit. Good viscosity but tastes like bourbon mixed with vodka. Weak corn whisky notes, mostly just tastes like alcohol burn. Perhaps some of the typical notes from mizunura maturation, but just bad.
