Liquor Barn store pick 17E09-8 Nose: smells sweet. I think I smell cherry. Palate: spicy. Not much else to it other than spice. Finish: very long finish. A little funky. Water?: better with water. Reduces really long funky finish.

Nose: deep oak. Smells good. Palate: very complex. Starts sweet and turns spicy. Finish:solid burn and not overbearing. Water?: pretty similar either way actually. The water changes the finish a little bit but really not a ton overall.

Kenneth E Butler II barrel pick Nose: smells great. Light vanilla and oak. Palate: tastes awesome. Oak. Finish: just the right amount of burn. Water?: No. the water mellows it out and takes the burn away, but i like the burn on this one.

Really not my favorite. Might try it in an old fashioned. The description actually said it was better for mixing on this app. Nose: light. Fruity. Oak. Palate: syrupy. Tastes fruity. I dont get really any oak or any burn at all. Finish: no burn literally at all. Water?: no. mellows it out even more.

Nose: smells like pancakes Palate: tastes like maple syrup. Finish: just maple syrup all around. Water?: didn’t need to add any water to know I don’t like it.

Nose: nice. Light oak. Palate: solid Kentucky hug. Gets better the more I drink. Very smooth. I get caramel. Finish: caramel and long burn. Water?: cuts down on burn a lot. Lots of oak after the water. I think I would like it slightly more on an ice ball.

116.8 proof Nose: smells alcohol-y. Palate: it tastes solid i just cant pinpoint any specific flavors. Gets better as you go. Finish: a little kentucky burn / kentucky hug. Water?: a little water helped this soo much! It was very good after the water.

BLIND: Could not tell this was a rye at all until i got a little spice adding water! Nose: light oak. A little alcohol-y. Palate: light and very little burn. Almost like a really light honey type feel. Finish: very short light burn on the back of the tongue. Water?: no. The water took it to even less burn and brought out a little spice.

Nose: smells good. Light oak. Palate: very easy drinking. Tastes low proof. Finish: very light burn almost not at all. Sweet finish. Water?: No. like it better without water.

Pick: Beverage Barn #3 Nose: pretty light. I think smell fruit. Taste: starts light. Mostly taste oak. Finish: burns on the back end. Water?: Definitely better with a couple drops of water. Get a buttery or syrupy feel to it in a good way.
