Tastes

Nose: smells great. Smells like barrel. Taste: I get oak and vanilla with some spice on the back end. Finish: medium finish of oak and spice with some heat. Water?: no. Just to me takes out the oak and vanilla portion and jumps straight to the spices.

Nose: smells like spices. Can definitely smell the 28% rye Taste: smooth and sweet when it first hits the tongue and then turns to spices. Finish: medium long finish with a little oak but mostly spice. Water?: water did not seem to change much on it.

Nose: sweet caramel Palate: Big oak taste. Creamy! So good. Finish: looong finish. Water?: No. it took away the burn, but was still so good.

Nose: Super smoky with vanilla behind it. Palate: it tastes like smoky oak with a vanilla after taste. Not a daily drinker but a perfect bourbon to sit by a campfire with. Finish: medium long vanilla finish. Water?: no. It makes it less interesting. It does bring the vanilla finish to the front.

Nose: oak barrel smell Palate: sweet. Easy drinker with a very light burn. Vanilla and caramel. Solid but nothing crazy overall. Finish: medium oak finish Water?: no need

Store Pick: Goodfellas Pizza in Lexington Nose: Smells amazing. Oak. Dark fruit. Taste: oaky caramel taste with a super smooth consistency. Sweet backend finish. The more I drink the more I get the sweet wine in the middle. Finish: sweet medium long finish Water!: did not feel the need to try it with water.

Nose: heavy oak smell Taste: easy drinking. Heavy oak taste. I got a maple finish a little bit, but very slight and only occasionally. Finish: short low burn finish Water?: Didn’t think I needed it.

Nose: smells awesome. Pretty sweet with some oak. i also get vanilla. Palate: sweet vanilla with a slight burn. Finish: I got a kentucky hug spreading down into my chest at the beginning. Wouldnt say it is a very long finish but leaves a great taste. Water?:no. Takes the burn away and i like it on this one. It leaves behind a sweet oaky taste that isn’t bad either. Trying on an ice ball was solid, but still nothing beats starting neat with this one.

Very dark complexion. Nose: smells super super sweet. Palate: very sweet. Getting like an oak mixed with like a wine. I think it actually gets worse the more you drink unfortunately. Finish: medium long finish with a sweet wine ending. Water?: No. the water did not change much really. Since it is already only 90 proof i would drink it straight.

Nose: smells fantastic. Oak. Sweet vanilla. Palate:light oaky taste and vanilla. Not much burn at all. Smooth. Finish: medium long finish that is a little tangy and little spicy with a light burn. Water?:no. Just waters it down and makes it less interesting to drink since it is already only 90 proof and smooth. Actually brings out spice a bit too.
