Tastes

Nose: purple grape and blackberry forward on first smell, on revisit a glazed danish comes to mind. Taste is a little soft on initial visit. Smooth for 100proof 8yr. Revisits are reminiscent of the nose. Like a booze soaked danish, and finishes super smooth. Only leaving mild fruit notes on the finish.

Nose is carmel and flower petal, with a black tea backbone. Gun cleaning oil also comes out on the 2nd or 3rd revisit. Taste is immediate roasted green pepper, disappearing as quickly. Finishes with wood, roasted tomatoes, and more dark tea. Another complex tasting from New Riff.

Grains, fruit notes, corn on the nose... They come out even more on the palate. Little burn, but the flavors stayed for a few minutes. Solid pour

Nose is brown sugar, and smokey grains, with a fruity finish. A little spice, with mild corn, and heavy cherry taste. Bittersweet and dark cherry finish... Lasts a few minutes.

Spice and an almost piney first nose. Herbal tea and oak on the nose the second time, a few minutes later. Same on the tongue, but adding in a hint of mint, and finished with barely a tart blueberry. Overall, very different, but worth a shot!

Sweet nose and mild 1792 flavor you're used to, mellowed a bit over the 12yrs of aging. Kind of one note, but smooth and buttery finish for a 96 proof. Drinks under its proof. Not bad, if it was more readily available.

Apples and baking spices on the nose and hard apple and smoke taste. Another winner from Widow Jane.

Smooth and silky nose, char and sweet, I see vanilla and caramel. Taste is wood and pepper with the vanilla carrying through. Another good poor from Blood Oath.
