Tastes

First impressions are sometimes complex. At first, I got lavender and honey, with charred berry notes on the nose. With my first sip, that exploded into tons of floral and grains, and a wheaty sensation as it goes down. No real burn here, but a surprisingly warm follow up as it slides from my throat to my stomach. A very unique, but delicious take on ryes!

Cherry and citrus, with a nice sweetness reminiscent of an old fashioned starts off the nose of this 4yr old BIB. Oak forward with a slight burn starting halfway back your tongue, burns all the way down though, in a good way. Finish with a hint vanilla and licorice as the warmth worked its way down.

Nose of simple cinnamon apple, with a slight hint of mahogany in the background. Alcohol forward but creamy initial taste, as your tongue warms a hint of leather and citrus follows up the Virgin American Oak and then dissipates as you swallow. Leaving an incredibly smooth creamy aftertaste.

Notes of carmel and oak in the nose. A slight upfront sting followed by smooth creamy char that disappears as quickly as it arrived. A great taste overall.
