Tastes

Interesting. Nose smells like vitamins a little bit of fruity too. It has a bit of Carmel to the tastes and not to much heat it has a chewable vitamin taste come up on the finish. It’s not bad but the little bit of vitamin taste isn’t the best and once you taste it it doesn’t go away. It would be a little bit higher rated if it weren’t 80 bucks or 13 and it being a 13 year old

Nose is nutty and sweet with alcohol and a little bit of sour but not a bad sour. but nose isn’t coming through strong. Taste are vanilla and plenty of Smokey oak. Finished with little to no heat but is a little sour. Taste doesn’t go away immediately but doesn’t linger to long.

Nose is a little weak but taste is great. On the front end it’s sweet and thick. On the back end it’s a little spicy and comes on hot in the back of your throat. Nothing to harsh. It’s the right amount of heat to remind you it’s definitely whiskey. It’s finished off with a little spice and the heat disapaiting gradually but the full flavor last.

Nose is vanilla and buttery Flavor is simple and uncomplicated vanilla and butterscotch not to hot fairly smooth. Great bourbon for msrp wouldn’t pay over 40 for it.

Two for one review. Regular and single barrel store pick side by side. First the regular nose is vanilla and Carmel with some alcohol. More vanilla and Carmel it’s a simple and smooth bourbon. The heat hits the back of the throat but is not really hot it goes down And leaves done just as smooth as it goes in. Now the single barrel pick. More Carmel on the nose and less alcohol on the nose. The single barrel just turns it up to 11. It’s a Carmel bomb. A little more heat but just as smooth. It’s definitely a fuller bourbon. And the flavor lingers longer.

First off this is a galenstein store pick and this pick was amazing. Based on the other reviews I think the pick must have been a honey barrel. The nose on it touches your brain. A little banana a little vanilla just enough alcohol so it doesn’t burn when you take a good whiff. It’s got a great taste. The heat comes on a bit and calms down a bit but the taste just stays with you It’s full and one of the best bourbons that I have wonderful pick.

Very very good rye. Cherry and spice on the nose. On the front is more cherry with cinnamon the burn then comes on and definitely has that rye burn but mellows out and leaves you with black cherry as it stays with you for a while.

Nose is sweet pecan on the front end plenty of pecan and vanilla it gets warm but not hot and goes down the same way with the flavors lingering.

Very unique bourbon. Reminds me of a scotch. Actually smooth but has a strong white wine taste to it.

Nose is spicy vanilla and alcohol is coming through. The higher proof is evident the heat comes through more on the front but does come through all the way. A little bit of notes of cherry and vanilla
