Tastes

Very balanced for highland. Good oily, medium body. Sweet followed by some spice, wood and prominent peat flavor. I'm a fan.

Apple, honey and oak scent. Medium bodied. Light, balanced smoke/peat. Slightly salinity. Clean, fleeting at the end. Highlands are my favorite and I really enjoyed this.

Bottled 9.25.17 - Caramel and oak on the nose. Briney, sweet, orange? and oak taste. Faint hint of some old, musty-ness. A little hot but should mellow out after a few days. Still one of the best sub-$30 sippers. Like the lower proof too.

A bourbon drinker's scotch. I prefer less smoked peat flavor and this has the perfect amount. Combined with sweet, honey/vanilla flavor it's a great gateway scotch.
