Tastes

Chocolate, cinnamon, pear, tapioca, musty. Something different each time I go back for a whiff. Waffle cone, caramel, oak, soy sauce, and more chocolate flavors present. Malty and complex

Cedar and black pepper along with the typical caramel and toffee nose. Chocolate and nutty up front. Maraschino cherry. Quite sweet which I think balances the extra proof. Fairly straightforward overall

Decent amount of rye spice on the nose mixed with toffee and caramel sweetness. Taste follows suit but with a milder spice. More baking spice than expected. Will add a drop of water next go round but this is a solid rye

Heavy on the anise spice characteristics. Sweet cherry and berry aromas stick out to me too. Again, with the cherry on the tongue. Oily too up front then burnt sugar but finishes down to nothing. Not anything special but at this price I'll buy again

Butter, vanilla, cinnamon, and slightly musty barrel like damp hay. Nice rye spice and a ton of heat. Buttery middle. Good for some cocktails but not my sipper.

Vanilla, cherry, oak tannin in aroma. Butter and red hots on flavor. Not bad overall. Kind of one dimensional for the price though. $34 on sale

Agree with the reviewer completely on this one. Wish I could give half stars. 3.5 stars

Nose: corn, sweet relish, char, bready malt, maybe slight clove. At first straight from the bottle was some orchard fruit but after it rests, no fruit aroma. Taste: toffee, coconut, cacao finish. Not until the very final sensation do I get rye spice. Think Whoppers candy

Nose:butter, nuts, hint of cherry, sweet corn, low ethanol. Flavor is vanilla, peanuts, cinnamon

Sweet sweet sweet. My dessert rye. Still finishes oaky tannic and mouth drying. Best old fashioned I've ever had with this one. No sugar added. Like a snicker doodle cookie.
