Aroma toes the line between single malt malt non peated scotch and bourbon sweetness. Rye spice shows off with restrained dill and clove. Pronounced toffee character along with the usual suspects of vanilla and subtle caramel. Drinks way smoother than 47%.

Not bad. Nothing stands out except some vanilla in the middle. Not as sweet as regular Crown. Smooth finish which I’d expect from lower proof

Toffee, leather, cherry, cornbread on the nose. Similar flavors come through upon tasting. Sweet but not overly so. Smokey, oak on the finish. A splash of water brings some subtle citrus and rye herb/spice. It doesn’t need water to smooth it out because it’s quite easily. sipped undiluted. But the water develops and rounds things nicely.

Cherry, caramel, fig, unbaked bread aroma. Not much wood character. A little sweetness up front and then gives way to char. Stone fruit from front to back. Bright peach finish

Dill intensely up front in your face. Rosemary. Charred oak on the back burner. Hint of pepper and brown sugar. Once I take a sip, the dill aroma subsides a little. Malt and vanilla dominate the palate and it leaves a lingering coat of sugar on my tongue. I wouldn’t call this dry. Dill comes through even on the flavor. Mint comes in to finish the herb and spice parade. Too herbal for a sipper for me but overall great for the money

Very oak heavy on the nose. Smells young. Smoother than I expected for the wooziness on the aroma. Easy drinker for sure but not enough body for me.

Extremely spice forward. DILL PICKLE. Medicinal. Anise, dill, and juniper nose. Drinks smoother than 46%. Full body. Cherry on the finish. One of the more interesting, non finished whiskeys I’ve had. Won’t be a go-to rye for me. Perhaps this is the extreme end of where Rye whiskey should go?

Fantastic balance between sweetness, burn, spice, and fruit. A few drops of water were necessary for me. The body to sweetness ratio stands out as just right for easy sipping. Great value

Definitely getting the rye spice and a Smokey, molasses note but reminds me a lot of the double rye. Kind of one dimensional for a finished whiskey
