Quintessential speyside

Damn good Irish whisky. It is mild. Sweet vanilla notes are dominant. The whiff of spice and wood notes with the strong sweetness makes this very drinkable.

Better than the Black for sure. The after taste is little too bitter than I like it on a blended whisky.

Double black and Black is a lot similar. Honestly I couldn’t tell a big difference other than it felt more matured with less bite. The biggest difference for me was the peat. DB is more peated and I did like that.

Not a bad dram for the price, but the lingering bitter note on the finish is not my favorite.

Smoothest JW for sure. I’m more of a single malt guy, but still I enjoyed this blend very much. On rocks it loses some flavors. So make sure you tell them to pour it neat. Wish they make it on a higher proof though. I mean for 180 bucks I expected a bit more.

This is my first “Japanese” whisky. Tastes pretty good. I was looking for that mizunara oak, but honestly I don’t know what mizunara actually smells like 🤷🏾‍♂️

This drink made me a whisky lover. So this get all the points. Still to this day my favorite scotch. Sweetness is there. Smoke is there. The creamy explosion of flavors are wild on the pallet. Love it! Hands down my favorite.

I have only tried it on rocks so far. Looking forward to try it neat and give it a proper review. I liked the balance. Beautiful on the nose. Typical speyside whiskey that you can find anywhere.
