Michter's 10 Year Single Barrel Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed February 20, 2020 (edited October 13, 2020)Nice and spicy sweet, good oaky bitterness without overdoing it -
Nose was light just got a little orange and indistinct wood. Very different on the palate with a really pleasant sweet woody taste kinda like a mix of cedar and oak, but also with a real nutty note like a mouthful of mixed nuts. The sherry is an afterthought for me not necessarily a bad thing although I’m surprised.

Hatozaki Small Batch Japanese Whisky
Blended Malt — Japan
Reviewed January 2, 2020 (edited May 23, 2020)Very light, sweet fruity malt up front with a smokey after tone. Very Japanese in the sense that it is balanced and nothing stands out, not a ton to say about it though -
Maker's Mark 46 French Oaked
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed December 4, 2019 (edited December 11, 2019)Pretty rusty on my bourbon tasting but this one just might bring me back. Sweet cherry and caramel, oak is bitter but rounds out super nicely. Herbal in the background, very smooth overall as much as I don’t like to use that word but it describes this well.
