Nice and spicy sweet, good oaky bitterness without overdoing it

Nose was light just got a little orange and indistinct wood. Very different on the palate with a really pleasant sweet woody taste kinda like a mix of cedar and oak, but also with a real nutty note like a mouthful of mixed nuts. The sherry is an afterthought for me not necessarily a bad thing although I’m surprised.

Very light, sweet fruity malt up front with a smokey after tone. Very Japanese in the sense that it is balanced and nothing stands out, not a ton to say about it though

Orange marmalade, bouquet of flowers, sherry whisps, sweet oak, vanilla, lemon zest

Pretty rusty on my bourbon tasting but this one just might bring me back. Sweet cherry and caramel, oak is bitter but rounds out super nicely. Herbal in the background, very smooth overall as much as I don’t like to use that word but it describes this well.

Deep red apple, cinnamon, bitter oak, nutty, burnt caramel Edit: after a few months to breath the deep jammy port flavor comes out much more and is super nice. Probably bump it up half a point

Cigar smoke, herbal spiciness, earth/brine/sulfur ish note I can’t quite pick out but goes well with the rest. Finish I pick up some fruitiness like apple and a sweet orange, very oily

Nose is light, honey, oak, apple. Some vanilla and honeysuckle with short finish. Pretty thin overall not worth price tag in my opinion
