Very solid rye. The way I rate is 3.5 and above is something I would keep in my bar, and this hits the mark for me. Oak and a little smoke on the nose, a splash of peppery spice on the tongue that softens with dark cherries and rounds out with a vanilla tingly aftertaste. I bet this would make an excellent Manhattan.30.0 USD per BottleLuekens Wine & Spirits

Elijah Craig Barrel Proof Bourbon Batch B521
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed September 2, 2021 (edited December 2, 2021)This batch is a bit lower proof than some of the other batches, but it still hits a little bit hot. It has a nice wheat toast flavor profile with a chocolatey aftertaste. The after taste lingers with some oak and ash with a little vanilla. Very nice sipper, probably would not pay 80 bucks again, look for it cheaper.80.0 USD per Bottle -
GlenDronach Original 12 Year
Single Malt — Highlands, Scotland
Reviewed August 27, 2021 (edited October 7, 2021)Very nice pour. It has a lot of sherry sweetness, but not as much as Aberour and it’s not as syrupy. Nice vanilla notes and burnt caramel. Finishes with a lingering peppery spice.59.0 USD per Bottle -
Elijah Craig Small Batch Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed August 22, 2021 (edited August 29, 2021)This is a great bourbon to have on hand for daily sipping or cocktails. It makes an excellent old fashioned. The nose is sweet and inviting, the taste is sweet and rich with hints of marshmallow and sugary cereal and the finish has a bit of spice. You can’t go wrong. -
This is a solid scotch. It's straight to the point, not very complex. It has very little smoke, especially for an Islay, but you know that going in. It has a strong medicinal after taste that I did not care for, but the sweetness and well-rounded flavor make up for that. I wouldn't go out of my way for this again, but I also wouldn't be disappointed if someone poured it for me.

This scotch was very interesting to try. I bought it because it was on clearance at a local liquor store. The smoky notes are great and the sweet notes are as well. For me, they just don't tie together, there is something missing in the flavor profile that prevents it from being a wholly enjoyable experience. I think it is definitely worth tasting and I would try more of their experimental series, but I would not purchase another bottle of this expression.
