Had with @crabbyaugy and Temple after moving to Baltimore and we all really enjoyed this! Nice balance of caramels and vanillas, but a bit young and light and soft.

Flaviar sample box “Spirit of the Rockies” December, 2022 Sample C Pour/Color: The darkest of the three, but appears relatively light in density Nose: smells like The Mill (apartments) carpet cleaner or entering a new building First taste: Vanilla, molasses, caramels, and chocolate of a bourbon are present but noticeably soft Lingering: Dark chocolate and sweet notes linger Score: 3 (best of the three, would not buy)

First taste: Caramels present, but barley flavor dominates and lingers with some grass/green notes Finish: dull and not terribly complex Score: 2

Flaviar sample box “Spirit of the Rockies” December, 2022 Sample A Pour: Smooth and appears watery Color: Lightest of the bunch, a golder corn Nose: grassy, hay, mint with some fruit like coriander First taste: BARLEY (sweet), VERY GREEN, earthy, some very sweet popcorn Lingering: fruits emerge, but barley flavor lingers Finish: prolonged ethanol flavor, no real caramels or vanillas Score: 2

Bought for my defense (at Costco in Mishawaka) and opened with Temple and @crabbyaugy in the new Baltimore house. A little disappointing. Very light and airy, good peppery spice. But a bit lacking in boldness

Incredibly light and airy with nutty caramels. Had at the Fountain at Drug City Pharmacy in Dundalk with Augy.

Had with Augy at the Fountain attached to Drug City Pharmacy in Dundalk! Really nice caramel and vanilla notes, but not as harsh or strong as I expected. Nice, but not worth the price point IMO

Had at Lee’s Pint & Shell with Augy and Maggie the day we closed on our house!! Better than 1870, but still lacking

Bought at Costco, same iteration as we had on my bachelor party. Missing my boys - this is just as good as I remember.
