Tastes

Bought at CityWide on Grape. Nose is strong, sweet caramel with a hint of smoke. Taste is WOW! Incredibly sweet - chocolate caramel, vanilla, and a hint of toast oak. Some light cinnamon/baking spice. VERY impressed - shooting near the top of my go-to list!

Had with Grandpa Rudy and Grammy at Journeyman as they came to visit South Bend (for probably the last time; while McKinley is pregnant). Fantastic and well-rounded!

Bought at Meijer near the bypass in Mishawaka. Bottle was tucked hidden behind ping pong balls. Nose is incredible - sweet caramel and vanilla with soft, spicy smoke. Wow! Taste is very sweet with bombs of caramel and vanilla - halfway between normal Elijah Craig and Woodford Double Oak. Some hints of toffee and ice cream.

Bought a 375 mL at Belmont Bev on 23 and Cleveland for $35. Incredibly deep and load flavor. Nose is bitter, spicy, and young Taste is deeply vanilla with cinnamon, butterscotch, and apple. Short finish

Bought at Belmont Bev on Main and 23 across from Heritage Square Color is a lighter yellow amber Nose is fantastic with caramels and vanillas Taste is subtle and short-lived. Ginger, caramel, vanilla, sage, and some nuttiness. Ethanol lingers

Last pour from the bottle.. this has simply been fantastic. While I prefer Larceny BP in a head-to-head, you cannot beat the caramels and toasted vanillas of this offering. Splendid.

Very green and young - the raw grain flavor comes through strongly along with some licorice and grassy notes

Had at Danny Boy (Brendan gave me a strong pour!). Smells like apple juice haha. Taste is light, but not much depth.
