Oaky, immediate spice. I liked it but don’t find it of value at $64. I would never turn this down but I don’t think I’ll buy this again at the current price point.

Vanilla, a bit of walnut and sweet but it’s all well-balanced. smooth and very good. It’s so smooth some might say it lacks some character but ehhh....it’s good!

Cinnamon, spicy yet balanced and smooth. I didn’t taste tons of char or wood and nothing about this bourbon is over-the-top bold and I feel that’s a great thing. Very good and would buy again.

Sweet, quick finish. Lots of vanilla and brown sugar. Really easy to drink-mellow. Enjoyed it immensely. Not sure if it matters but this was the “Thing 1” stamped bottle.

Smooth smooth, slightly syrupy (in a good way) finish, sweet with a hint of anise/almond. One of the best ryes I’ve had in a long time.

Did not like this at all. Bouquet is rubbing alcohol and so is the taste. Best used as a mixer. I bought this on a recommendation while at the liquor store as a “best bargain buy” but I’d take some of the name brand budgets over this one in a heartbeat.
